A new SiteSupra plugin resource has opened at the SiteSupra Developers Network (SSDN), empowering every developer to share and sell his SiteSupra blocks and modules via SSDN to other developers, SiteSupra partners and end-users. The Plugin Exchange is available at the http://plugins.sitesupra.com
SiteSupra plugins, which are add-on PHP application deployed within the SiteSupra framework with full access to SiteSupra API, and SiteSupra Plugin Exchange API functions and variables, are essential elements for any SiteSupra installation, and developers can now speed up and enhance their work with SiteSupra even more by exchanging their plugins with each other.
The plugins are divided into blocks – mostly front-end related functions (menus, forms, etc.); modules – site-wide back-office functions mostly(user management, stats analysis, etc.); and console applications – mostly services scripts and middleware applications (e.g. news grabbing). One plugin may consist of several blocks, modules or console applications working together, and could be copy-protected by the plugin License Key.
The plugin License Key acquired through the SiteSupra Plugin Exchange is incorporated into the SiteSupra License Key and could be validated by plugin developer via SiteSupra Plugin Exchange API functions. Any PHP developer familiar with the SiteSupra framework could write his own SiteSupra plugins of any functionality or complexity and sell them via the SiteSupra Plugin Exchange.
Plugin Exchange commercial potential, however, isn't limited by the block-related plugins only. Developers can exchange virtually anything that extends SiteSupra, such as GUI localization kits, site templates, or any other scripts and solutions.
Plugin Exchange API offers a set of functions required to protect and register plugin on SiteSupra system. The Plugin Exchange API description is available at the newly added to Manuals section Plugin Exchange Developer Manual, http://manuals.sitesupra.com/dev/pedevmanual/
The payments on the Plugin Exchange are made without credit cards, but with the MoneyBookers payment system, so both a vendor and a customer should have MoneyBookers accounts setup.
